The Bill to implement Three Waters is now at select committee and your support by submitting to the committee will put pressure on the Government and make it more difficult for them to push it through in a hurry, especially if you say you want to speak to the select committee about the bill (called an oral submission).

The Taxpayers’ Union have made it easy for you to make a submission at their website, www.stop3waters.nz.

Groundswell NZ has been standing up for local democracy and local control over ratepayers’ assets and, as we saw at our public events, ratepayers across the country feel the same way.

When you get to the point in the submission to choose the reasons you oppose Three Waters, select “No Local Control” and “Undemocratic”, along with any of the other issues that matter to you.
 
More and more people are waking up to the loss of local democracy the Government’s Three Waters policy represents. With your support, we can ensure this law has the toughest possible time getting through Parliament.
